Igf3: a novel player in fish reproduction

چکیده
Abstract As in other vertebrates, fish reproduction is tightly controlled by gonadotropin signaling. One of the most perplexing aspects action on germ cell biology restricted expression receptors somatic cells gonads. Therefore, identification factors conveying gonadotropins particularly important for understanding mechanism reproduction. Insulin-like growth (Igfs) are recognized as key regulating triggering a series physiological processes vertebrates. Recently, novel member Igfs called Igf3 has been identified teleost. Different from conventional Igf1 and Igf2 that ubiquitously expressed majority tissues, solely or highly The role mediating through Igf type 1 receptor several oogenesis spermatogenesis have demonstrated species. In this review, we will summarize existing data Igf3. This new information obtained provides insight into elucidating molecular reproduction, also highlights importance system signaling animal

Biology and control of reproduction of sturgeons in fish farm
Over the last century the reproduction of sturgeon has been intensively studied par Russian scientists who established a technology for the ranching of alevins which included artificial fertilization of gametes taken from wild broodfish and larvae rearing. More recently, since 1970, major contributions originated from teams in the USA, the EU, Japan and Iran. A rather good knowledge of the repr...

متن کاملUrocortin: A Novel Player in Cardiac Control.
Urocortin is a potent regulator of cardiac function, with actions that are prolonged in experimental animals. These changes are mediated via binding to corticotropin-releasing factor receptors found in peripheral tissues. The effects of urocortin on behavior, appetite, inflammation, and the cardiovascular system suggest that this peptide may be an endogenous factor mediating actions previously ...
متن کاملThe role of prolactin in fish reproduction.
Prolactin (PRL) has one of the broadest ranges of functions of any vertebrate hormone, and plays a critical role in regulating aspects of reproduction in widely divergent lineages. However, while PRL structure, mode of action and functions have been well-characterised in mammals, studies of other vertebrate lineages remain incomplete. As the most diverse group of vertebrates, fish offer a parti...
متن کاملRole of serotonin in fish reproduction
The neuroendocrine mechanism regulates reproduction through the hypothalamo-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis which is evolutionarily conserved in vertebrates. The HPG axis is regulated by a variety of internal as well as external factors. Serotonin, a monoamine neurotransmitter, is involved in a wide range of reproductive functions. In mammals, serotonin regulates sexual behaviors, gonadotropin rel...
